What is SGU Rewind?
SGU Rewind is a community-driven rewatch of Stargate Universe, one of the most underrated entries in the Stargate franchise. We believe this show deserved more recognition and a proper conclusion, and through our rewatch, we're keeping the spirit of the Destiny and her crew alive.
Each week, we revisit episodes in order, discussing the character development, plot progression, and the deeper themes that made SGU unique. From the struggle for survival on an Ancient ship to the complex relationships that developed over two seasons, we're exploring it all.
Why Stargate Universe?
Stargate Universe was different from its predecessors. Darker, grittier, and more character-driven, it showed us what happens when ordinary people are thrust into extraordinary circumstances billions of light-years from home. The show tackled mature themes of sacrifice, leadership, and survival while maintaining the wonder and discovery that made Stargate great.
Though it ended too soon, the legacy of SGU lives on through fans like us who continue to appreciate its bold storytelling and unforgettable moments.
