#SaveStargate Opens In-Person RSVPs — and Its July 25 "World" Day Is Aimed at San Diego Comic-Con

The #SaveStargate campaign has opened RSVP sign-ups for its next two gatherings, and in doing so has put a name to the "World" event it had previously listed only as a date. The campaign's RSVP page now offers two forms: one for the "Europe" event and one headed "RSVP for World Event (San Diego Comic Con)" — the first time the campaign has explicitly tied its July 25 day of action to an in-person presence at Comic-Con in San Diego.

The two forms line up with the campaign's events calendar, which lists an "International" action on July 18 and a "World" action on July 25, both now marked "RSVP OPEN". Organizers say the RSVPs are purely a headcount for people attending in person: "If you are only able to attend online, we still appreciate your support, but you should not RSVP." A further event, listed only as "Space" on August 8, remains flagged as "Classified".

July 25 doubles as #SaveStargate Day, a fandom-wide push asking fans, creators, podcasters and streamers to post positive Stargate content under a single hashtag. The campaign has published a downloadable Creator Guide for the day, with content prompts and a request to keep posts constructive — no personal attacks, no doom-posting, no infighting. Its own petition tracker currently shows 97,401 signatures on the lead "Save Stargate with Martin Gero" petition.

The campaign has been escalating since Amazon MGM Studios shelved Martin Gero's new Stargate series in early June: a banner plane over the studio's Culver City offices on June 16, billboards in Times Square on June 27, and now an organised turnout at the biggest pop-culture event on the calendar. #SaveStargate remains an independent fan effort with no affiliation to Amazon, MGM, Prime Video or the Stargate rights holders.
