#SaveStargate Launches The Chevron Alliance, a Nonprofit Fan Organization, at L.A. Comic Con
The #SaveStargate campaign has announced a new fan organization, The Chevron Alliance. According to a press release published on the campaign's site on October 31, 2026, the announcement was made during a hosted panel discussion at L.A. Comic Con. The campaign describes the Alliance as a registered 501(c)7 nonprofit that will serve as a membership organization for Stargate fans, offering exclusive in-person and online events.
"We started from a place of shared grief over the cancellation of the show we had been looking forward to," said Shelley Knepley, a team lead for the campaign, adding that the team "knew fans wanted more than what the #SaveStargate campaign alone could provide." Knepley also said that "the #SaveStargate campaign isn't going away," and that it will remain a core goal of the new organization as it advocates for the franchise.
The release says the campaign's petition has now passed 125,000 signatures, following appearances at San Diego Comic-Con, Dragon Con and Ascension Con since Amazon dropped Martin Gero's series in June. With 2027 marking the 30th anniversary of the premiere of Stargate SG-1, the Alliance says it is already planning anniversary celebration events for fans worldwide. A formal launch is due "in the coming months," and fans can sign up for its newsletter at chevronalliance.org.
The Chevron Alliance states that it is an independent fan organization and is not affiliated with Amazon, MGM, Prime Video or the Stargate rights holders.
